Food-inn at VimanNagar opposite to Reliance Fresh is a 6 years old deli which has been recently taken over and run by 2 software engineers.

First time I went to eat in this neighborhood restaurant I had least expectation  of the taste and menu I obviously must have misjudged by the size of the kitchen but was amused to see the range in the menu, was skeptical about the taste but then was very happy and became kinda regular customer, its not only the food, taste or price but also the team behind it, very friendly two young partners who become fast friends to all the customers most are students and professionals from nearby college and firms, most inspiring part is this is run by 2 young software engineers (Deepak & Unni) who have left their jobs to follow their dream.

I don’t know how many of them have heard this parody of I want to break free(Queen),but this was very famous among Indians in Gulf especially Keralites in Kuwait as I was in Kuwait and am Keralite I did, somehow I found their video while surfing.

Tata Coffee, Asia’s largest coffee plantation company have already got  world’s largest coffee shop chain into India but so far haven’t seen any open, don’t know if it is open in Mumbai but was thrilled and happy when I learnt its to open in Market City mall, VimanNagar,Pune, but no sign long time even I checked with one of my friend in mall management but he seems to have no clue.

Two things I loved about Starbucks were their ambiance and Signature Hot Chocolate. Hmm am we are waiting….

One of the best shisha hangouts I have been to, SJC in Koregaon Park is an unusual place to hangout with jazz and Afro-Latin sounds and world music. Authentic Iranian cuisine, as well as a good spread of Indian and Continental food and ofcourse Shisha (hookah).

This is what happens when a 230-ton Airbus A330 has the right angle of attack, the right low speed and the right amount of head wind: it gets suspended in the middle of the sky for a few seconds.

It feels like it’s flying in slow motion, then it freezes for a couple of seconds and keeps moving in slow motion. The phenomenon has an easy explanation: the Airbus is making a very slow low pass, taking advantage of the very strong head wind combined with the minimun air speed and a high angle of attack to achieve lift for its flaps configuration (which is hard to see from the ground).

This produces extremely low ground speed, which results from the A330′s air speed minus the speed of the head wind. The combination of this ground speed and the A330′s size give the viewer the sensation of a plane almost frozen in midair.

Though I didn’t understand any of the above jargon but the video was scary, was wondering what kind of experience were the passengers going through.

I was surprised and happy to see Dorabjee’s in VimanNagar. I had known for long that they will be opening one branch here but its very near to my home which was cool as other options bit far are Reliance Fresh, More, StarBazaar,Spar and Spencer.
